Tom Strand  --  Alumni

Tom is a junior studying Genetics, Cell Biology and Development in the College of Biological Sciences and Philosophy with a minor in the History of Science and Medicine in the College of Liberal Arts. Outside of MML, Tom is an employee at the Wangensteen Historical Library of Biology and Medicine, a Peer Mentor in the College of Biological Sciences' Dean's Scholars program, and a volunteer at Hennepin County Medical Center and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In his free time, Tom enjoys reading and building his book collection (his favorite author is Dostoevsky), running in the Twin Cities area, slalom skiing at his family's lake cabin by Detroit Lakes, and canoeing in the BWCA/Quetico.
