About Minnesota Medical Leaders
Mission Statement
Developing values-based healthcare leaders by bridging the gap from ambition to action.
Committed to building leaders for tomorrow's healthcare system, members of Minnesota Medical Leaders travel the world helping with healthcare issues by working in hospitals, meeting government officials and inspiring change in individuals. The group also volunteers locally, with organizations such as the Phillips Eye Institute, U of M Emergency Medical Services and Hennepin County Medical Center. Members get involved with basic science and research to prepare them for a future in medicine. Resources for members include mock AMCAS applcations and interviews, an experiential learning database, textbook exchange program, and much more!
History
Nearly 500,000 medical school applications are submitted each year. The founders of the Minnesota Medical Leaders kept this in mind when determining the purpose of our group. Soon, our vision became a mission: to foster the growth of students with a serious and committed interest in medicine. Since 2006, we have made great strides in becoming one of the best resources for pre-medical students at the University of Minnesota.
